Anti Establishment Songs
Original Songs
All songs written, arranged, and produced by Joe DiDomenico
What a blast to be able to resurrect these songs that I've had in the vault for so many years. AI allowed me to take my rough tracks and turn them into real songs. Without needing to argue with the bass player. While AI can be as finicky as humans when it comes to doing what you want, they never mess up a note. It takes a while to get the AI to the point where it's close enough and that's what these are. Not exactly as I would like them, but good enough.

And We Are All I
Song Info
This track blends industrial rock aggression with a live-room atmosphere. It delivers a warning about manipulation, division, and the slow surrender of individuality by AI and the powers that control it.
Driven by pounding drums, crunchy guitars, and haunting layered vocals, the song paints a world where fear and control are packaged as safety and progress. The lyrics challenge the illusion of opposing sides and question the systems that profit from keeping people divided, distracted, and dependent.
Built around a relentless E–F–G progression. The guitar riff has been playing in my head for at least 5 years now and it feels so good to finally put lyrics to it and publish.
The riff came in just a few minutes many years ago. I finally decided to put serious effort into writing lyrics that matched the feeling I have each time I play the riff. There’s something rebellious it. Once I started, the words kept flowing and I had to delete 4 verses. Otherwise, the song was over six minutes long! I think I have way too much to say.
At its core, the song is about identity, free thought, and the fear of losing what makes us human. The “chip goes in” refrain becomes both a metaphor and a warning — a symbol of surrendering choice, belief, and individuality to AI systems that promise convenience while demanding obedience. Dark, provocative, and emotionally charged, this track tries to capture thoughts I have way too often.
Lyrics
[verse]
Plug in, chip in
Connect to the cloud
We’ll tell you what you want to hear
So you don’t speak so loud
[verse]
They make us think
There are 2 sides
There is no left
There is no right
[verse]
When the camera’s on
Their smiles a mile wide
The show must go on
And keep the great divide
[chorus]
What are we thinking?
How can we be so blind?
We follow the pied piper
Believe the same old lies
There’s only me and you
And we are all I
[verse]
Why not have one world
With an overseeing eye?
We’ll keep you safe
And tell you when to die.
[verse]
Truth is not what they say
Truth is they are afraid
That we will wake up
They may not get paid
[verse]
We know what’s best
You must trust the science
We say there is no god
Trust US…we are the highest
[chorus]
What are we thinking?
How can we be so blind?
We follow the pied piper
Believe the same old lies
There’s only me and you
And we are all I
[bridge]
You like being unique?
You like to think you can win?
That all goes away
When the chip goes in
I choose what to eat, when to sleep
What to believe in
That all goes away
When the chip goes in
[verse]
You see the difference I’m sure
If you don’t, you will
We’ll program you to
Bow to our will
[chorus]
What are we thinking?
How can we be so blind?
We follow the pied piper
Believe the same old lies
There’s only me and you
And we are all I

Do You Feel It?
Song Info
“Do You Feel It?” came together pretty naturally. It started as a simple groove with some lyrics I had left over from another song, nothing too complicated, just something that felt good to play. But once I started sitting with it, more lyrics came, and the song kind of found its own direction.
I added an acoustic guitar and harmonica intro that felt right for the mood, simple and honest. That same combination comes back in the middle of the track, which I really liked as a way to bring things back down before building back up again.
The lyrics ended up going somewhere a little deeper than I originally planned. There’s a tension running through the song between feeling controlled and slowly waking up to something bigger. The idea that we’re all going through a lot of the same things whether we realize it or not. The “Do You Feel It?” refrain started as a simple hook but ended up meaning more as the song developed.
By the end it builds into something that feels more like a shared moment than a solo one, which is really what I was going for.
It’s not the most complicated thing I’ve written, but sometimes the simple ones say the most.
Lyrics
Do You Feel It?
Come on! I want you to feel it!
Oh yeah!!
[verse]
I want to walk outside
There are people I want to see
Not today, all your credits used up
Stay inside, we need you asleep
[verse]
It’s too scary out there
Stay inside and breathe our air
It’s filtered and cleaned (breathe in)
So you keep that same blank stare
[chorus]
We breathe the same air, shed the same tears
Do You Feel It? (Do You Feel It?)
The same flags, same fights, same fear
Do You Feel It? (I can feel it!)
We know what’s right, we know what’s real
Do You Feel It? (Do You Feel It?)
[verse]
Keep your head down
Stay on the path we choose
Then everyone wins
You got nothing to lose
[verse]
We’ll keep you in control (plug in)
And keep you in fear (breathe in)
We’ll tell you what to think
And what you want to hear
[chorus]
We breathe the same air, shed the same tears
Do You Feel It? (Do You Feel It?)
The same flags, same fights, same fear
Do You Feel It? (I can feel it!)
We know what’s right, we know what’s real
Do You Feel It? (Do You Feel It?)
[bridge]
I’ve had enough, (I think it’s showing)
They stopped us from growing!
I’ve had enough, What are we doing?!
[break]
There’s something coming
Do You Feel It?
We’re all connected
Do You Feel It?
[chorus]
We breathe the same air, shed the same tears
Do You Feel It? (Do You Feel It?)
The same flags, same fights, same fear
Do You Feel It? (I can feel it!)
We know what’s right, we know what’s real
Do You Feel It? (Do You Feel It?)
[chorus]
Do You Feel It?
Do You Feel It? (I feel it!)
Do You Feel It?
Do You Feel It?
I’m feeling it!!
Are you feeling it?!
[outro]
Do You Feel It?
Do You Feel It?
Do You Feel It?
Do You Feel It?

Round and Round We Go
Song Info
I really dig this groove. Another anti-establishment song based on an acoustic guitar chord progression I play all the time as kind of a warm up. In my head, it’s a variation of a Bo Diddly rhythm. To me, the groove is almost hypnotic.
Lyrics
It’s clear to me
When you look around you’ll see
Smiling faces
But we all disagree
and round and round and round and round we go
But deep inside
There’s nowhere to hide
From the truth that was a lie
We’ve been taken for a ride
We’re all the same
Working hard, Playin the game
My tears are raining
On everyone’s parade
and round and round and round and round we go (where do we go?!)
and round and round and round and round we go
and where we’re going, nobody knows
It’s Plain to See
When you look around you’ll see
We love, we want, we feel
We just want to be
and round and round and round and round we go (where do we go?!)
and round and round and round and round we go
and where we’re going, nobody knows
and round and round and round and round we go
and round and round and round and round we go
But deep inside
There’s nowhere to hide
From the truth that was a lie
We’ve been taken for a ride
and round and round and round and round we go (where do we go?!)
and round and round and round and round we go
and where we’re going, nobody knows

The Devil is Coming
Song Info
I’m sure this will go over well. Nothing like a good controversial song to get things a bit spicy. Here is an AI generated description of my song and it pretty much captures the essence of the song…sorta.
The Devil Is Coming is a hard-driving rock song with a deep blues soul that I wrote, arranged, and put everything I had into. Musically, I built it on a grinding guitar riff that channels the raw tension of classic blues while pushing into modern rock territory. I wanted the arrangement to build deliberately – verse by verse the intensity tightens, the rhythm section locks into a relentless groove, and the chorus explodes with the kind of visceral energy that grabs you by the collar. The gritty ad-libs and call-and-response moments were intentional – I wanted it to feel urgent and alive, like a warning broadcast from the edge of a storm.
Lyrically, I drew this song from my deep concern over what I see as a coordinated globalist takeover of the world – the rise of the New World Order, the erosion of individual freedom, and the deliberate inversion of truth and morality by those in power. The Devil in this song is not merely a supernatural figure – he is a symbol of the shadowy forces I believe are reshaping society, injecting populations with compliance, flooding the world with deceptive symbols, and turning reality upside down so that good appears evil and evil appears good. I wrote these lyrics to confront that darkness head-on, with words that are equal parts alarm and accusation.
But I refused to let this song end in despair. The bridge and outro are my rallying cry – a shift from warning to defiance, calling on every listener to pull together, trust their instincts, and fight back with truth as their weapon. I believe that collective awareness is the most powerful force against manipulation, and that’s what the outro is about. We’re done being silent. I wrote this song because I want to help people to wake up, stand up, and refuse to bow to the darkness. The voice of the people will be heard.
Lyrics
The Devil is coming
You better step aside
My heart keeps drummin
But, there’s nowhere to hide
Cause The Devil is coming!
He’ll inject you with his serum
With a smile as you cry
No way out now
No matter how hard you try
Symbols abound
Everywhere I turn
He tries his tricks
Until you burn
The Devil is coming
You better step aside
My heart keeps drummin n pumpin!
But, there’s nowhere to hide
Cause The Devil is coming!
If we all pull together
And read between the lines
Our collective energy
Will tear down the blinds!
Look out! He’s coming!
What’s good is bad
What’s bad is good
He twists the truth
Like he knew that he could
It’s upside down
When it’s right side up
He’ll drain you dry
From a poisoned cup
It’s left when it’s right
It’s right when it’s wrong
But we see through his game
And we’ve known all along
The Devil is coming
You better step aside
My heart keeps drummin n pumpin!
But, there’s nowhere to hide
Cause The Devil is coming!
We won’t bow to the darkness
We’ll stand in the light
The truth is our weapon
And together we fight
So open your eyes now
Don’t believe every word
We’re done being silent
Let your voice be heard!
Cause The Devil is coming!

I’m Not Free
Song Info
Inspired by my step daughter and a poem she wrote while in middle school. This is a cool little riff in D. The original has an odd time signature that the AI doesn’t understand but it’s interpretation is pretty good and captures the D riff nicely.
Lyrics
I am not happy, I am not free
Gonna break these chains that are binding me
I am not happy free, I am not free
Will I ever be?
Will I ever be?
I feel my heart race
I feel myself running
I feel my pockets
I’m looking for money
A stranger in the night
What will happen to me
I dream of happiness
But why can’t I be?
But why can’t I be?
I pretend I’m not alone
I pretend I am back at home
I’m gonna cut loose
Gotta get away clean
Help me escape
From my captivity
I cry when I rise
Water surrounding me
Now I understand
It’s not up to me
Will it ever be?
I wake up dreaming
I cannot sleep
I reach out to touch it
But it escapes me
I hope for another
Opportunity
Because I’m not happy
I am not free
I am not free
I am not free
How can I every be
I am not free
I am not free

Batter Up
Song Info
This is my nephew’s favorite song…so far. The original recording was wrote and recorded in about an hour and messed up the words quite a bit, but it served it’s purpose – I wouldn’t forget it. AI did a great job of interpreting the song. It’s another anti-establishment song about the deep state. The batter is each one of us. Swing well.
Lyrics
Batter Up! Yea! Yea!
Swing now or I’ll take your life
Batter Up! Yea! Yea!
Play the game and you might survive
Batter Up! Batter Up!
Put your money where your mouth is.
Take a cut just like the masses.
Jump right in and take your chances.
We’ll show you just what real romance is.
The man will come and take you away
And make you feel like it’s just another day
And when you wake up, you’ll realize
They’re gonna cut you, right down to size
Batter Up! Yea! Yea!
Swing now or I’ll take your life
Batter Up! Yea! Yea!
Play the game and you might survive
Batter Up! Batter Up!
They made me think that it’s not worth a try.
But then it hit me, it’s all just a lie!
Media stories filled with fear
You’re gonna suffer, the end is near
What can I do? Let me protect you dear!
I can help, my voice is loud and clear!
I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to be
The way they say, you think it should be
The truth is somewhere between you and me
Look deep inside, and then you will see
Batter Up! Yea! Yea!
Swing now or I’ll take your life
Batter Up! Yea! Yea!
Play the game and you might survive
Batter Up! Batter Up!
Batter Up! Batter Up!

What Will it Take
Song Info
An anti-establishment rock anthem. When will we realize it’s all just a crazy game we’ve been forced to play? What will it take to change the world? How many times will be believe the same lies over and over again before we wake up?
It’s a song of my frustration with the world in general. How easily we are persuaded to think one way or another. Never encouraged to think for ourselves. Never encouraged to think about the spiritual rather than the material. It’s all just a crazy fuckin’ game.
Lyrics
Looking out my window
As far as the eye can see
Rivers to cross and mountains to climb
To claim my fortune from sea to sea
My power and my money
Is all I crave and need
Irrisistable deals
That will bring you to your knees
What will it take
To change the world
What will it take
Till we understand we’re all the same
What will it take
To say enough is enough
What will it take
Till we understand it’s all just a crazy game
It’s hard for me to think
Taking over the world is still a goal
To those of you that want to
You should crawl back into your hole
Go home and feed your children
Take care of their needs
And in the end our eyes will see
All our eyes will finally see
What will it take
To change the world (What will it take)
What will it take
Till we understand we’re all the same
What will it take
To say enough is enough (What will it take)
What will it take
Till we understand it’s all just a crazy game (a fuckin game)
My god told me to
Kill my brother in his name
He must be right
Cause we don’t look the same
And then I woke up
And realized it’s all a lie
Created by men
With the look of fear in their eyes
What will it take
To change the world (What will it take)
What will it take
Till we understand we’re all the same
What will it take
To say enough is enough (What will it take)
What will it take
Till we understand it’s all just a crazy game
